History Professor Thomas Ort writes mainly about the cultural and intellectual history of East-Central Europe, focusing in particular on modernism and avant-garde life in Czech lands. His book, Art and Life in Modernist Prague: Karel Capek and His Generation, 1911-1938, will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in the fall. A complimentary lunch will be served. |
