Explore the worlds of Renaissance painters, American politics, or knowledge in the digital age; read the poetry of Robert Frost or Don Quixote or Shakespeare. Wrestle with the big questions about ethics, justice, morality, and love — while discovering your individual voice in the world.

The 2nd Semester Freshman Seminar is designed to offer QC students a challenging first year experience, as well as the opportunity to experience the value of a liberal arts education:

  • Sit around the table in a small seminar setting of 20 students.
  • Connect with faculty, teaching assistants, and peers.
  • Enroll in a 3-credit General Education Perspectives course (Writing-Intensive, in some courses).
  • Learn more about what a Liberal Education offers through an exploration of the QC majors and minors.
