Student Perspectives on ESL

Each year, hundreds of students come to Queens College from around the world and throughout our community to enroll in the English Language Institute, our intensive English as a second language (ESL) program. ELI helps students reach their academic, personal, and professional goals by providing them with the English language tools required to excel in today's society.

As part of QC's Year of China, we asked some of ELI's Chinese participants--alums and current students--to share their thoughts on learning English as a second language and their experiences in the program.
