Summary:
노길희 교수는 뉴욕에 거주하는 한인노인들을 대상으로 미국사회의 문화적응 정도와 노년기에 가장 중요한 발달과업인 자아 통합감 정도를 조사하였다. 이를 통하여, 현재 이들의 미국생활에 대한 이해를 증진하고 노년기에 반드시 형성되어야 할 중요한 자아통합감 정도를 파악하여 향후 한인노인을 위한 정책 개발과 서비스 개발에 기여하는 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것이다.
