Latin Studies Major

The major in Latin consists of a minimum of 32 credits:

  • A minimum of Latin beyond Latin 203 (15 credits); 
  • Greek 251 and 252 or their equivalent (8 credits);
  • and Classics 120, 130, and 140 (9 credits). 

Students who intend to teach Latin at the high school level or to go on to graduate work in Classics should also take Latin 315 and 316.
