André Aciman is the author of the novels Harvard SquareCall Me by Your Name and Eight White Nights, the memoir Out of Egypt, and two books of essays, Alibis and False Papers.  He is the chair of Comparative Literature at the CUNY Graduate Center and director of the Writers' Institute.  He has written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, The New Yorker, Paris Review, Granta, and The American Scholar.
