Study: Autism in the Hispanic community

Research Assistant:  Angela Giraldo

This study is aimed at exploring how Hispanic immigrant families understand and support the needs of their children with autism spectrum disorders.  We provide comprehensive parent training, including in depth interviews to understand parents’ concerns, home-visits to analyze the communication environment, individualized and group training in specific strategies to support the acquisition of communication skills.

We are currently recruiting families.  If interested in participating, contact Dr. Ijalba.
