Requirements for the Minor in Media Studies
The minor consists of 21 credits forming a coherent course of study. The minor requires careful planning, and consultation with departmental faculty is advisable.
Required:
- MEDST 100. Media Technologies from Gutenberg to the Internet
- MEDST 101. Contemporary Media
- MEDST 200. Principles of Sound and Image
- MEDST 300W. Media Criticism
Electives:
- Three courses of the student’s choice from departmental offerings. At least two of the three must be at the 200 level or above.
