The Queens College Civil Rights Archive Donation
The Department of Special Collections collects, preserves, and makes
available for student and scholarly research materials that support the
campus-wide curriculum. The Department is especially interested in
materials that preserve the history of the Borough of Queens and the New
York City region. The collections are particularly strong in capturing
the College’s history of excellence in the areas of Performing Arts,
Literature, Politics, and Civil Rights.
The Department will not normally acquire materials for which it does
not have the resources to house, process, or preserve. Collections
should complement and strengthen existing areas of the collection,
including our general collections, and/or the College’s academic
programs.
