Welcome!
The Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is one of four divisions at Queens College of the City University of New York.
The mission of the Division is to generate and transmit knowledge in mathematics and the natural sciences. We do this through research and undergraduate and graduate education. We prepare students to be leaders in science and medicine for university, government, and industry careers. We also prepare students to be scientifically literate leaders in other roles in society.

A Message from the Dean
Our faculty excel in both teaching and research. Our new multidisciplinary initiatives are advancing the computer modeling of scientific problems, neuroscience, photonics, and the urban ecology of plants, animals, and people. We are both old and young. We were founded 75 years ago, but half of our faculty have been hired in the last eight years. We are both local and global. The neighborhoods of Queens form the most culturally diverse county in the United States, but we are also part of New York City, one of the most exciting global cities in the world. Come join us here!
Larry S. Liebovitch, Ph.D., Dean of the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
