I have been teaching accounting since 2002, and became tenured at Queens College in 2007. I received both my B.A. and M.S. in Accounting at Queens College. Arthur Andersen & Co. provided an excellent foundation and training as an auditor. I then worked as Assistant Controller for a major advertising company in New York City as well as in small private auditing firms. Many years later I returned to Queens College to teach, and now enjoy sharing an enthusiasm for and love of accounting with my students. My goal when teaching is to differentiate instruction to best meet the learning styles of the students, whether more verbal, auditory or visual learners. Very often I will act out in front of the class to emphasize a lesson; I am usually quite animated. Another visual aid employed is the use of colored chalk.
