Christos P. Ioannides is a political scientist whose work revolves around ethnicity and the Greek-American community along with the study of ethnicity and politics in the Eastern Mediterranean. As Director of the Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at Queens College, his service to the broader community includes a multifaceted outreach program. He is a Fellow of the American Hellenic Institute in Washington, DC and is lso co-editor of the Journal of Modern Hellenism. Publications
He is currently working on a book on the ideology of Greek nationalism in the Eastern Mediterranean that includes the role of peasant folk poets.
