Italian Language: 

Beginner or Intermediate


Italian Language is a course which concentrates on rapidly developing a basic command of Italian while introducing the student to aspects of Italian history, culture, and cuisine, and the realities of contemporary Italy. Students will have opportunity for on-site learning with their instructors through a series of walking tours and visits in Florence. In addition, students will have the opportunity to view classic and current Italian films outside of class time.

Location: Florence, Italy

NY departure and return dates: January 2-23, 2015

Arrive in Florence the morning of January 3rd

Course: 3 credits, ITAL

Faculty: Florence University of the Arts

Housing: Shared housing in apartments

Program Costs:

Cost (includes all expenses below except airfare): $2795

CUNY tuition (for in-state, matriculated undergraduates): $780

QC program fee: $400

Travel insurance: $37

Consolidated fee (includes Tuition differential, Housing, Student and Lab Fees): $1578

Total cost with airfare: $3795

Airfare: $1000 (estimate)

Additional Costs:

             Minimum budget for meals and personal expenses of $20 to $25 per day (approximately $600)

Application Deadline: October 27, 2014

Programs are open to all undergraduate students from all CUNY campuses (unless restricted by level of study, language fluency, or other program criteria). Travel on Fridays and some Saturdays for some programs.
