Non-Queens College Programs: Short-term, Semester, and Full-Year Options
If Queens College does not offer a program to
an area of the world where you wish to study, see the links
below for other alternatives.
These options are endorsed by our office for their low cost, academic
rigor, and positive feedback from students.
USAC Programs --USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium) offers
summer, semester, and year-long programs to almost every region in the
world. The consortium is a one-stop shop offering
you housing, academics, field trips, internships, field study courses, and more. USAC
provides opportunities to get involved and interact with locals, including
students from your host country. In operation for more than 25 years,
this organization promotes diversity in and out of the classroom. Participants
hail from more than 700 universities worldwide; you'll be sitting in class
and traveling with students from all over the United States as well as
other countries. USAC resident directors conduct your orientation, assist with
housing, and provide support in your adjustment to a new culture. Queens
College students come back with rave reviews. USAC offers entry
level (no previous language experience) through advanced level language
courses. Programs are affordable and scholarships are available--USAC awarded
$250,000 to students last year. Another clincher: You can use your financial
aid and other scholarships toward consortium programs. We HIGHLY recommend
USAC, if a semester or year long abroad experience is what you are seeking.
SUNY Programs--This
database allows you to search the network of State Universities of New York, spanning

programs that the SUNY system offers.
Other CUNY
Programs--A database for study abroad
and exchange programs available throughout the CUNY system. The site
allows students to search by country, term, and the programs available
through each CUNY campus.
