Sports Management

                 Conducted in English

This course gives students a comprehensive view of the procedures and operation of professional sports, collegiate athletics, and recreational organizations and enterprises. The course examines skills and processes such as budgeting, marketing, event staging, and fund-raising that are necessary for the successful administration of these organizations. The interrelationship between these skills and administrative goals and objectives is studied.

Location: Rome and Florence, Italy

NY departure and return dates: July 7 - August 4
Arrive in Rome morning of July 8

Courses: 4 Credits


Faculty: Apicius


Housing: Shared housing in apartments

Program Costs:

Cost (includes all expenses below except airfare): $3400


CUNY tuition (for in-state, matriculated undergraduate): $860


Queens College program fee: $400


Travel insurance: $50


           Consolidated fee (includes Tuition differential, Housing, Student and Lab Fees): $2090


Total cost with airfare: $4400


Airfare: $1000 (estimate)

Additional Costs:
         
          Minimum budget for meals and personal expenses of $20 to $25 per day (approximately
          $600)     

Application Deadline: April 2, 2012


Programs are open to all undergraduate students from all CUNY campuses (unless restricted by level of study, language fluency or other program criteria). Travel on Fridays and some Saturdays for some programs.
