Title:Modern Love essay contest

The New York Times has recently announced its second "Modern Love" college essay contest. Undergraduate students at least 18 years of age, residing in the United States and enrolled in an American college or university are invited to submit personal essays between 1,500 and 1,700 words that illustrate the current state of love and relationships.

The winning essay will be published in a special Modern Love column in The New York Times Sunday Styles section. Four semifinalists and one grand prize winner will be chosen. The winning essay will be published in the newspaper on May 1 and on, and the winner will receive $1,000. Semifinalists may also have their essays published in print andon

The deadline for submitting an essay is 11:59pm Eastern time on Thursday, March 31, 2011.
