CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

​The Department of Economics at Queens College, CUNY, invites applications for a tenure-track position in international macroeconomics of economic history, broadly defined, at the assistant professor level beginning September 2018. .  Outstanding candidates in other fields may be considered.  We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated ability – through prior experience, coursework, or current research to teach courses at the BA level. Our faculty also participates in the Economics PhD program of the Graduate Center, CUNY. Queens College expects both excellent teaching and published research and provides support in both areas. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in economics by August 2018.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​Ph.D. degree in Economics preferably in the areas of international macroeconomics or economic history by August 2018.  Candidates must demonstrate both excellent teaching skills and published research and ability to work well with students and faculty in the Economics Department.
Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
