​In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and values, the Percy E. Sutton SEEK Program seeks to fill one Administrative Coordinator vacancy.
Reporting directly to the Director of the SEEK Program, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the support of operations within the program. This entails organizing and coordinating day-to-day activities of the Office as well as monitoring and reporting on budgets, purchasing, scheduling and programming. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support services for projects and initiatives related to the program’s involvement in the Division of Enrollment and Student Management. 

Specific duties, in addition the CUNY Title Overview, include but are not limited to: 

- Assisting the Director with administrative tasks related to office and personnel management
- Arrange meetings, appointments, and prepare for a variety of departmental special events
- Creating, maintaining, distributing, and analyzing reports in PeopleSoft (CUNYfirst) using Crystal Reports.
- Liaising with College departments and programs as needed to complete special projects and as assigned by the Program
- Create and maintain spreadsheets needed within the department for budgetary purposes, student information, etc.
- Train and supervise part-time college assistants and student workers.

Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department. 

- Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information. 

- Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. 

- Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections. 

- Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities. 

- Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing. 

- Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department. 

- May supervise office staff and student workers.  

- Performs related duties as assigned.


​Bachelor's Degree required.


​-Working experience with Crystal Reports, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and SharePoint - Working experience with all programs in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with diverse groups
- 18 months administrative support experience in Higher Education
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of CUNY scheduling and budget processes
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to meet customer needs; demonstrated organization skills; detail oriented and ability to multi-task, critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
