CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

​In support of the campus mission, strategic plans and goals, Queens College seeks to fill two Human Resources Coordinator- HR Talent Management vacancies.
Reporting directly to the Recruitment & Talent Management Specialist, the Talent Management Coordinator performs various activities to support HR Policies, procedures and programs. The Coordinator assists with the administration of the Talent Management platform, which includes Training & Development and coordination of special events and programs within the Office of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assisting with recruitment activities by maintaining job data in Talent Acquisition Management (TAM) System, conducting Recruitment Advisory Sessions (RAS) with Search Chairs, attending Civil Service Hiring Pools and monitoring the recruitment process from start to finish
- Coordinating training and development activities, including but not limited to: lunch and learn sessions, on-site training sessions sponsored by the campus, and external training opportunities endorsed by CUNY OHRM PDLM
- Maintaining employee training records using HR information systems and printed materials
- Coordinating special events sponsored by the Office of Human Resources such as: Employee Recognition Program, Take our Children to Work day, Breast Cancer Awareness month, Administrative Professionals Day, and other related events
- Responding to inquiries regarding Tuition Waiver eligibility, Annual Evaluations, and Employee Verification requests
- Assisting with the development of materials, such as: guides, presentations, newsletters and other materials to clearly communicate HR processes and procedures
- Maintaining the HR webpage
- Collect, maintain, and report on employee data

GENERAL DUTIES

Provides information and services to the College community to support the Human Resources function. 

- Prepares and executes various personnel transactions involving employee recordkeeping, processing of new hires, pay administration, and recruiting 

- Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources 

- Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness 

- Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries 

- Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages 

- Performs related duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

​- At least one year of professional experience in  a Human Resources or closely related department - People Soft experience
- Prior training and recruiting experience a plus
- Demonstrated Professional/ Technical competence
- Strong oral/ written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team
- Demonstrated problem-solving/ decision-making skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Self-starter and creative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
