Powdermaker Hall Media Facilities
Powdermaker
Hall classrooms, some conference rooms and seminar rooms are now
equipped with ceiling-mounted data projectors. The majority of
the classrooms have a DVD and VCR player and overhead projector
installed in the media closet, plus a pull down screen. For
rooms that do not yet have equipment installed, please contact
Media Services at extension 5960.
Faculty and staff members who wish to use any of the installed equipment
must be trained in its use before access will be given. Training
is easy and painless. Please make arrangements for a training session
in our office in Kiely Hall or in an empty classroom in Powdermaker
with lead time prior to your class.
We have also arranged open training sessions on the following dates:
Monday, February 2 and 9, in PH 113, 12 -
1 pm
Wednesday, February 4 and 1, in PH 113, 12
- 1 pm
Once trained, you must pick up
a key and equipment remotes from the Media Service Room, located
in PH 136, prior to your class. The spring hours for the
Media Service Room are:
Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 10:00 pm
Friday, 8:30 am - 9:30
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00
am - 5:00pm
Keys must be signed out and returned to PH 136.
When you arrive at your assigned classroom please be sure that the
media closet is closed and all equipment is there. If this is not
the case, notify Media Services as soon as possible.
There are no 16mm projectors in Powdermaker
Hall. If you are using films, you must reserve a room in another
building.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Media Services
at extension 5960.
