Areas of responsibility in Institutional Research at Queens College

The Institutional Research Office compiles an annual fact book with statistical information for the college community. We compile trends in student admissions, enrollment, and FTE students for academic departments, as well as profiles of our student population. Surveys posted on our website include the National Survey of Student Engagement results for Queens College, the COACHE Survey of Untenured Faculty, the CUNY Student Experience Survey, and IPEDS peer reports.

The Institutional Research Office provides data to various external survey companies such as College Board, US News, Princeton Review, Peterson's Guide, and Wintergreen/Orchard House for various publications. This data is crucial for college rankings and listings. The office provides data for Middle States Annual Profiles and the Self-Study and Periodic Review Reports. The director is a member of the Middle States Steering Committee.
