Selected for Verification?

If you have been selected for verification, the Financial Aid Office will ask you to supply several documents and complete additional forms in order to process your federal aid.

Please note: Because of unique situations and/or material you provide, we may be required to request further documentation after your initial visit to Financial Aid. The staff will inform you if anything more is needed.

After your application and verification documents are reviewed, our office may need to make changes to your FAFSA.

Once you have begun this verification process with our office, PLEASE DO NOT alter your FAFSA yourself through the free FAFSA site. If you have any questions or changes, please contact your financial aid counselor.

Download the appropriate VERIFICATION FORMS from our FORMS page and follow the instructions carefully. Be sure to select the correct category and academic year, and supply documentation for the year requested. 

It is important to be as complete as possible in what you provide. Do not leave the answers to any questions blank. Include taxable as well as untaxed income, as requested.

Because of new federal requirements for 2012-2013 verifications, what we have to collect from you has changed. For 2011-2012, we request signed copies we can keep of any 2010 federal tax returns, as well as all W2s received, and the verification forms themselves. For 2012-2013, our verification forms packet tells you what is now required for 2011 income.
