On-Campus Placement



Please make additional copies of the student checklist and confidentiality statement for your own records.

After completing the above forms, please follow this additional step:

  • Bring all forms to the FWS coordinator in the Financial Aid Office for placement.
    • You will receive a job referral form.
    • You must also bring proof of citizenship status to submit with the I-9 form. Acceptable documents: U.S. passport OR alien registration card OR your driver's license OR Queens College ID AND your Social Security card
    • Citizenship documents must be up to date and not expired.
    • All the forms available above must be completed and submitted during job placement.

Pay Rate

Effective in academic year 2017-18, the pay rate for on-campus jobs will be increased to $13 an hour for undergraduates, and $14 an hour for graduate students. The off-campus rate varies depending on the job. You are paid only for hours worked in the job in which we place you, and may not work beyond your award.

  • Spring 2018 - Important Dates & Deadlines
    • The Excelsior Scholarship application for the Spring 2018 semester was December 4th, 2017​.  If you first received the award in the fall term of the current academic year, no additional action is needed for the spring term.  
    • The last day to add courses was February 2, 2018. Your registration as of February 2nd will be used to determine your maximum financial aid eligibility for the semester (grants, loans and work-study).
    • February 16, 2018, was the last day to declare a major for TAP/APTS eligibility for Spring 2018.
    • March 2, 2018, is the last day to apply for APTS.

  • Fall 2017 - Important Dates & Deadlines
    • Th​e last day to add courses is August 31, 2017Your registration as of August 31st will be used to determine your maximum financial aid eligibility for the semester (grants, l​o​ans, and work-study).
    • September 14thwas the Last day to declare a major for TAP/APTS eligibility for Fall 2017.

    • December 8th, was the last day to apply for a Fall only loan.
