Graphic Design: Bachelor of Science (BS)
Graphic Design involves sophisticated visual communication, usually involving a mix of words and images. A fast-paced, rapidly evolving profession, it has become highly important in today’s visual culture and applications of digital technology.
Coursework emphasizes both principles and practical experience with graphic design using digital technology. Assignments range from the practical to experimental. The program also offers many field trips and internships, both on and off campus, giving students an opportunity to apply lessons from the classroom to real-life situations.
Graduates are well prepared for a variety of careers—from print to multimedia. Potential employers include book, magazine, and newspaper publishers; advertisers; and websites.
