FREE FULL-DAY CONFERENCE ON HISTORY OF QUEENS
AND QUEENS COLLEGE ON SATURDAY, OCT. 13


WHAT: The Queens Experience: Historical Perspectives on the Development of
Queens: In honor of the 350th anniversary of the Flushing Remonstrance and the
70th anniversary of the founding of Queens College (CUNY). The full-day conference
will celebrate the history and diversity of Queens and Queens College through
lectures, panel discussions and exhibitions.
WHEN: Saturday, October 13, 2007
8:30 am – 4 pm

WHERE: Queens College Science Building
Melbourne Avenue and 150th Street
Flushing
Attendees must enter through the Reeves Avenue gate for parking.
WHO: Sponsored by Queens College, The Office of Queens Borough President Helen
Marshall, the Queens Historical Society and the Central Queens Historical Association.
FEE: Free and open to the public. Seating is limited so registration is required by October
