25th Anniversary Screening, with Director and
Producer, of Trail-blazing Women’s Film

FLUSHING, New York, October 25, 2005 -- On Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m., LeFrak Concert Hall, Queens College, Emmy and Academy Award-winning actress and director Lee Grant and Queens College Professor of Media Studies Rachel Lyon, who respectively directed and produced Tell Me a Riddle, will screen and discuss this pivotal film. Released in 1980 and soon to be available on DVD, Tell Me a Riddle was the first film in America to be written, produced and directed by women. Based on the O’Henry Award-winning novella by Tillie Olsen, a pioneer in the feminist movement, it is the story of an elderly, long-married couple on a journey across America who rediscovers the love that brought them together. This event is presented by the Center for Jewish Studies at Queens College "Cinema on Sundays" film series. Tickets: $5, reserved seating required. Box Office: 718-793-8080.
