NEW YORK, August 28, 2003 -- The Center for Unlimited Enrichment (CUE) at Queens College, an innovative, low-cost educational program for adults age 60 and over, is hosting an Open House at the college on September 12, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Student Union Building, Room 404. Queens College is located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard in Flushing.
The CUE program opened its doors in March, 1981 with 75 students enrolled. Today, more than 300 CUE students currently attend classes on subjects ranging from Shakespeare to computers. There are no tests, grades or pressures--just learning for interest and enjoyment. CUE's varied courses are taught by distinguished faculty members and professionals; all classes are held during the day on the Queens College campus.
Potential members can join CUE for a yearly membership charge of $35.00. For this moderate fee, students can enroll in CUE classes, join CUE social events, participate in a yearly summer film festival and attend a free Friday lunch and lecture series. CUE members are also welcome in the Queens College Library reading rooms and may use the facilities at the Fitzgerald gym and pool, for a discounted fee of $15.00.
If you would like additional information regarding CUE course descriptions and
prices, please contact the CUE office at (718) 997-3635 to have a brochure mailed to your home.
