Mayor Bloomberg Hosts Reception at Queens College to Celebrate Disabilities Awareness Month

MEDIA ADVISORY FOR: Monday, April 14, 5:30 – 7:00 PM


WHO/WHAT: Mayor Michael Bloomberg will hold a reception for the disabled community and community leaders to increase attention for National Disabilities Awareness Month. Matthew Sapolin, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, and Queens College President James Muyskens will also speak. The mayor will present awards to community groups that have been especially supportive of disability in the arts.

Artwork by disabled Queens College students will be on exhibit.
