Queens College Holds Groundbreaking for Phase II Renovations of Kupferberg Center for the Arts

WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II renovations of the Selma
and Max Kupferberg Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, which includes facility upgrades to Colden Auditorium, Aaron Copland School of Music, LeFrak Concert Hall, Godwin-Ternbach Museum and Goldstein Theatre.

All Phase II renovations and facility upgrades have been designed to give a visually unified identity to the Kupferberg arts complex and enhance the audience experience. Among these enhancements will be state-of-the-art exterior and interior lighting; improved signage and landscaping; handicapped-accessibility upgrades; enlarged lobbies, entrances and bathrooms; and updated climate control and security systems. Phase I consisted of repainting Colden Auditorium and replacing seats in Colden Auditorium and Goldstein Theatre.
