. Says Villa of his partnership with Queens College, which was facilitated by Assembly Member Moya, “In this camp I want to teach the children the concepts and the values that I have learned throughout my soccer career. It is an unparalleled and special opportunity to be able to begin this project in such a diverse and soccer-passionate community as Queens.”
The Queens College summer camp serves children ages 5 to 16 throughout Queens, Nassau, Brooklyn, and Manhattan on its 80-acre campus. It offers enrichment education classes taught by New York State-certified teachers, with additional assistance for English-language learners. Sports programs include soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, softball, volleyball, and fencing. The summer camp also offers theatre arts, a dance academy, and a Counselor-in-Training program.
