6) You have to apply every year to be considered for financial aid. Applications now available for BOTH Academic Year 2007-2008 (Summer 2007, Fall 2007, Spring 2008) *and* for Academic Year 2008-2009 (Summer 2008, Fall 2008, Spring 2009).

7) Information about Education Tax Credits is avalable at http://www.studentaid.org/

8) Don't have an email address? It's important to put a good email address on your aid applications. As you consider your options, consider using your *FREE* QC student email account. Read all email account policies carefully.

9) Consider Direct Deposit to get your checks faster.

Your confidentiality and privacy are important to us. We follow federal and state regulations and CUNY policies to assure confidentiality of our students' information.   Some examples:

  • Please be prepared to show your Queens College photo id at the front desk and when you see a counselor.   While we understand that sometimes there may be legitimate reasons for others to ask on our students' behalf, we must follow these regulations and policies carefully. Please do not ask us to make exceptions - this is for your protection.

  • If we ask you anything at the front desk you would prefer to discuss in private, let us know immediately.
