Many of our students need some sort of financial aid to help pay the costs of attending college or graduate school. Financial Aid at Queens College includes grants, work and loans from NY State and the Federal government, and can help pay expenses beyond tuition and fees.

Our mission is to provide accurate and current information regarding the financial aid process and programs, and to assist students in obtaining appropriate aid for which they are eligible --- in a professional, efficient, respectful and student-friendly manner --- with concern for your confidentiality and privacy.

If you think you might need financial aid for your attendance at Queens College, explore our web site and read about the programs, who is eligible, and how to file --- and file early! In addition, be sure to file if any funding you have been awarded requires filing of the FAFSA and/or TAP applications - even if you believe you will not be eligible for the basic Federal and NYS aid programs.

Follow carefully the instructions on this site for applying for each type of aid. Always ask us if you have any questions or need help. Filing for aid is FREE --- you don't have to pay someone to complete your aid applications.

Pay careful attention to billing due dates, tuition refund schedule, policies, and payment plans on the Bursar's web site. Current tuition and fees as of Fall 2005 are posted on the Bursar's web site at http://www.qc.cuny.edu/bursar/how_much.php .

Please note that non-attendance, dropping classes, changing your program, repeating classes, taking courses not needed for your degree, and not keeping your grades up can change your financial aid eligibility, for the current semester and in some cases can affect future semesters. In some cases you might have to repay money already received. If you have any questions about how this may affect you, discuss them with a financial aid counselor.
