6) You have to apply every year to be considered for financial aid. Applications now available for Academic Year 2008-2009 (Summer 2008, Fall 2008, Spring 2009). Be sure to complete the application for the correct year.

Federal Perkins Loans

Please
read and follow all directions and provide all necessary
documentation. Be sure to read any appropriate cover letter, if
there is one. Print, complete and submit the application along with any
required documentation as described below and in the cover letter and
form.

File for a deferment when the
year of eligible employment begins, and then file for cancellation at
the end of the year. This is an annual application - file each year you are eligible.
You must
work for a full calendar year to be eligible for one year's worth of cancellation.
Some cancellation requests require a description of duties. Incomplete or altered forms will not be processed.
For teacher cancellation, the authorized official is the school's Principal.
