The College Counseling and Resource Center Director: Elizabeth McCaffrey Overview Counseling/advising is a process wherein people discuss personal, emotional, academic, and/or vocational issues. The professional staff will help you explore your options and make decisions. Through this process, people often gain increased awareness, independence, and effectiveness in the pursuit of personal goals. Many students have found it helpful to discuss their current life situations and plans with a staff member in the Counseling and Advisement Center. You might meet with a staff member for only one or two sessions or as long as two semesters. These services are available free of charge to Queens College students. Services
