Peer Program Coordinator: Ruth Frisz General Information The Peer Advisement program is a part of the Counseling & Advisement Center. It is staffed by a corps of trained students who are available to discuss concerns about college adjustment, college requirements, program planning, selecting a major, and personal issues. Services are confidential and free of charge. Training for the students accepted to become peer advisors consists of two 3 credit mandatory courses and an optional third semester advanced course for those students who wish to continue with the program. In order to become a peer advisor students must successfully complete a two-part screening process, be a lower sophomore when they apply to the program and be in good academic standing. Descriptions of the Peer Advisement Program's credit bearing courses are listed here and are also available at the Counseling & Advisement Center. A minor in Student Services and Counseling is available. Interested students should come to Frese Hall, First Floor.
