Director: Paula Anderson Overview Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program for Queens high school students from low income families whose parents have not graduated from a four-year college or university. The project is divided into two sections; a non-residential summer program, followed by a ten-month academic year component that serves as a supplement to instruction at the student’s home school. Upward Bound is a professionally supervised program which is comprehensive and individualized. The program offers high school students an opportunity to maximize their academic progress while preparing for college. Services
