(<em>Note<\/em>: Summer Sessions 1 and 2 are considered a single semester.) No more than<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>21 credits of\u00a0<em>P\/NC<\/em>\u00a0may be applied toward the baccalaureate degree. Courses in which students\u00a0<em>only<\/em>\u00a0earn a\u00a0<em>P<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>\u00a0are not included in the 21 attempted\u00a0<em>P\/NC<\/em>\u00a0credit limit.<\/p>\n<p>Instructors\u00a0<em>cannot<\/em>\u00a0submit a grade of\u00a0<em>P<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>\u00a0except in courses where these grades are the only legal grade. All earned passing grades (<em>A+<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0<em>D<\/em>) will be converted to\u00a0<em>P<\/em>;\u00a0<em>F<\/em>\u00a0grades will be converted to\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>, which will not affect your GPA.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>\u00a0grade is assigned only when an\u00a0<em>F<\/em>\u00a0is submitted by the instructor. If a student does not attend the course or if, as a result of excessive absences, the instructor has no basis on which to submit a final grade, a grade of\u00a0<em>WU<\/em>\u00a0may be assigned. The grade of WU will not be converted to an\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>. Only an earned failure is converted to an\u00a0<em>NC<\/em>.\u00a0<em>WU<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>WF<\/em>\u00a0grades in courses taken under the\u00a0<em>P\/NC<\/em>\u00a0option remain on the student&#8217;s record.
