On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018, the Asian\/American Center (A\/AC) of Queens College celebrated Asian American Heritage Month with students, faculty and community members. Asian\/American Center’s Scholarship recipients and Student Leadership Award recipients for 2018 were announced at this student-focused event. Ms. Eugenia Ames, a dedicated supporter to A\/AC\u2019s programs, presented each recipient with a certificate of award. Professor Murphy Halliburton, a long-term member on A\/AC\u2019s Faculty Advisory Board, was honored for his insights and commitment to A\/AC\u2019s mission as well as his path-breaking research in medical anthropology. Asian American Studies Professor Robert Ku delivered a speech on the topic of Asian American identity followed by a discussion with A\/AC\u2019s Student Council.<\/p>\n
