Information Assurance is defined by the U.S. Intelligence Community as encompassing information operations that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. This panel introduced participants to information assurance research areas of expertise at CUNY and also at Polytechnic University.<\/p>\n
