Christian Guirnalda from Verizon’s Product Innovation team will also present. Connected Futures Research & Prototyping Challenge, sponsored by Verizon Verizon Connected Futures Research and Prototyping Challenge[nycmedialab.org]: an opportunity for faculty and students to collaborate on prototyping new media projects across a range of areas such as the connected home, empowering citizen journalism, virtual reality and more. University teams from accredited NYC universities are eligible to apply for up to $25,000 in funding for their projects. Teams will have the chance to apply for this Challenge in Fall 2015 and the prototyping program will run through Spring 2016. Grant application deadline: December 15, 2015<\/p>\n 11:00 – 11:30\u00a0am Updates from Executive Vice Chancellor<\/strong>, Vita Rabinowitz, will speak about new initiatives that relate to computer science.<\/p>\n 11:30\u00a0– 11:50\u00a0am\u00a0<\/span>CS4ALL<\/a><\/strong>, Dr. Leigh Ann DeLyser, Director of Education and Research, CSNYC\u00a0<\/span>CSNYC<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is the private partner in CS4All, the 80M initiative to bring rigorous computer science to every public school in NYC. Leigh Ann will discuss the CS4All initiative and the proposed work plan and timeline for the next 10 years.
