Research Interests<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yunzhong Shu\u2019s research interests include modern Chinese literature and cultural studies.<\/p>\n

Classes<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a master\u2019s degree in comparative literature and PhD in Chinese literature, Yunzhong Shu has taught elementary, intermediate, and classical Chinese, as well as Chinese fiction reading, Chinese drama reading and modern Chinese fiction in translation.<\/p>\n

Publications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yunzhong Shu has published a book\u00a0titled Buglers on the Home Front: The Wartime Practice of the Qiyue (July) School<\/em>, a study of a group of dissident writers active in the 1930s and 1940s in the Chinese leftist literary circles. He has also published articles on modern and contemporary Chinese fiction, images of China in Victorian literature, and the Chinese influence on American poets Kenneth Rexroth and Gary Snyder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
