Stephen Rowe<\/strong>\u00a0has been a proud faculty member of Queens College\u2019s Dept. of Drama Theater and Dance for 15 years. He has also taught Acting and Theater History at Harvard University, Sarah Lawrence College, USC, and South Coast Repertory Theater\u2019s Professional Conservatory.<\/p>\n As a professional actor, Stephen has performed in 11 Broadway shows, including the Tony Award winning THE GOAT, FROST\/NIXON and RED. Off-Broadway he has appeared at Lincoln Center Theater, Second Stage, Atlantic Theater Company, Manhattan Theater Club, The Flea, and 6 productions at the NY Shakespeare Festival, including the leading role in Joseph Papp\u2019s original production of Larry Kramer\u2019s THE NORMAL HEART. He has acted in Classical and new works across America at McCarter Theater, Berkeley Rep, South Coast Repertory, Center Stage, A Contemporary Theater (Seattle) ACT (San Francisco), The Kennedy Center, Hartford Stage, Westport Playhouse, 3 seasons at Yale Rep, and 6 seasons at the American Repertory Theater, where he was a Founding Company Member.<\/p>\n Stephen collaborated often with Edward Albee, performing in THE GOAT (Broadway), TINY ALICE (Second Stage), THE ZOO STORY, THE AMERICAN DREAM and WHO\u2019S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF at Vienna\u2019s English Theater, and the National and Far East tour of ALBEE DIRECTS ALBEE.<\/p>\n Stephen\u2019s film work includes BASIC INSTINCT, AWAKE, THE PINK PANTHER (with Steve Martin) and Steven Spielberg\u2019s THE POST. He has appeared on television in multiple episodes of LAW AND ORDER, THE BLACK LIST, ELEMENTARY, THE SINNER, AMERICAN ODYSSEY, CHEERS, WINGS, ER, recurring roles on BEVERLY HILLS 90210, Marvel\u2019s DAREDEVIL, and currently on BLUE BLOODS.<\/p>\n He has authored, arranged and performed 3 one-person shows, including ALBEE\u2019S MEN that premiered at Provincetown Rep and ART, and had a run at The Old Globe; and he has written 2 original plays.<\/p>\n Stephen was honored with the DramaLogue Award for outstanding performance in Los Angeles for his work at South Coast Rep; the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for Best Actor in SIGHT UNSEEN at Berkeley Rep; and he was nominated by the Connecticut Critics Circle for Best Actor in 2017 for his performance as Mark Rothko in RED at Westport Playhouse.<\/p>\n Stephen trained at Hamilton College, Emerson College (BA), Cornell University (MA) and the Yale School of Drama (MFA).
