Sherrie L. Proctor, Ph.D., is a professor of school psychology at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to becoming a graduate educator, she was a school psychologist in the School District of Philadelphia and in Atlanta Public Schools. Her research explores issues related to Black students in K-12 and higher education. She is a past Chair of the National Association of School Psychologists\u2019 Social Justice Committee; a 2021 recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Division 16 Outstanding Commitment to Anti-Racism Award; a Co-Editor of Critical Theories for School Psychology and Counseling: A Foundation for Equity and Inclusion in School-Based Practice<\/em>, Handbook of Multicultural School Psychology: An Interdisciplinary Perspective, 2nd Edition<\/em>, and Best Practices in School Psychology-7th Edition.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
