Q: What is the Big Buddy program?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Big Buddy is a mentorship program started at Queens College in 1989.\u00a0QC students serve as \u201cBig Buddies\u201d to mentees,\u00a0children ages 5-13 and\u00a0engage in academic, cultural, and recreational activities with the kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Q: What are the requirements to be a Big Buddy?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Q: <\/strong>Do I need to be an education major or have prior tutoring experience?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n All majors are welcome to apply! Experience in tutoring children is preferred, but not required.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Q: <\/strong>What are the hourly requirements of the Big Buddy mentor role?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Big Buddy mentors will work 3 hours on two weekdays per week on site, totaling 6 hours.
