Welcome to the Italian Program. Italian is offered in the Department of European Languages and Literatures, located in Queens Hall Room 200 (tel. 718-997-5980). Italian faculty offices are also located in Queens Hall, and most courses are taught in this building.<\/p>\n

The Italian Program at Queens College is among the most prestigious in the New York area, with a wide range of course offerings and faculty interests. Students may pursue a major and a minor in Italian, as well as a Master’s degree. Many students prepare for a career in teaching Italian in the secondary schools, some continue their studies in doctoral programs. Others use their proficiency in Italian and their knowledge of Italian culture in a variety of business careers. Many students will plan to visit Italy or study in one of its programs, to advance their language skills, to learn about the wealth of artistic treasures, or to discover family roots.
