Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences Education, where \u201cLinking Learning to Life\u201d is both our motto and our pledge.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCSE) program at Queens College prepares individuals to become New York certified family and consumer sciences teachers. The FCSE program provides individuals the knowledge and skills in a variety of family and consumer sciences content areas, as well as the professional education required to become competent and committed teachers of today\u2019s adolescents in grades 5 through 12. Teaching family and consumer sciences is a rewarding and challenging career. If you would like to learn more, continue reading to find out which program is right for you.<\/p>\n Fully Online Graduate Programs <\/strong><\/p>\n Depending on your background, we offer three pathways to get certified in FACS. All the graduate courses in these pathways are delivered fully online<\/strong>, which means you never have to leave your house or come to campus to complete the courses. See requirements here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n All of our FCSE programs are registered with the New York State Education Department and, therefore, lead to either an initial or professional certification required by the state to be a family and consumer sciences teacher.
