Assistant Professor<\/strong><\/em> Shinjoung Yeo is a political economist of information and communications. Her research encompasses the history of the Internet, labor, geopolitics, network infrastructures, and cultural and information provision. She is the author of\u00a0Behind the Search Box: Google and the Global Internet Industry<\/i><\/a>\u00a0(University of Illinois Press, 2023) and\u00a0Baidu: Geopolitical Dynamics of the Internet in China\u00a0<\/i><\/a>(Routledge, 2022).
