Biographical Information:

Diana Maron is a PhD candidate in Musicology at the Graduate Center of CUNY and serves as an adjunct lecturer at Queens College and Fordham University. Her research interests focus on Opera and Early Audiovisual Technology/Media. While at the Graduate Center, Diana earned an advanced certificate in Film Studies and worked as a Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow at Hostos Community College. In this role, she collaborated with faculty to develop writing-intensive syllabi and conducted workshops on pedagogy for ESL students.

Diana has taught Music History at Brooklyn College, Opera at the School of Visual Arts, and currently teaches Music History at Queens College (ACSM) and Latin American music at Fordham University. She has also lectured about opera for the Met Opera Guild, gaining valuable experience in public musicology.

Dancer and actor turned academic, Diana holds a Master’s degree in Music (Interpretive Practices), a BA in Voice/Operatic Singing, and a BA in Music Production/Audio Engineering.
