He has taught masterclasses at Fresh Squeezed Opera\u2019s Composing for the Voice summer intensive, and been a performer\/clinician with the NYU Opera Lab for Composers and Librettists; a participant in the Sundance Theater Lab creating the role of Hatuey, in Frank London\u2019s Hatuey: A Memory of Fire, and has been on faculty at both the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia (ISOFOM) and the Brevard Music Festival. His teaching is based on helping students understand a healthy functional and flexible framework of their voice and technique, musical interpretation and performance confidence, guiding singers toward their full artistic potential.<\/span><\/p>\n As a performer, he has appeared with companies such as Seattle Opera, Opera on the James, Teatro Grattacielo, and Sacramento Opera. Recent roles include Stanley\/Judge Moriarty in Huang Ruo\u2019s Bound at Seattle Opera, The Commentator in Derrick Wang\u2019s Scalia\/Ginsburg with Opera Company of Middlebury, John Mayo in Nicholas Flagello\u2019s Beyond the Horizon and Christ in David Asia\u2019s The Tin Angel with Teatro Grattacielo, and Ted\/Dewey in Eric Moe\u2019s Artwork of the Future with Fresh Squeezed Opera (named one of New York City\u2019s top 10 classical performances of 2023).
