His mentor of three decades, was the great violinist Erick Friedman, with whom he has appeared as soloist in recording and in chamber music. He has performed as violin soloist\/concertmaster with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Philharmonia Virtuosi, New York Virtuosi, New York String Ensemble, Tchaikovsky Chamber Orchestra, Taipei City Symphony Orchestra, Music at St. Ignatius, Dance Theater of Harlem, Queens Symphony, Masterworks, and the Long Island Philharmonic. He recorded CRI (Pelosi violin concerto), with Erick Friedman on Kultur Video, and for countless commercial recordings and films.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>His interests in historically-informed playing began with Louis Bagger, harpsichordist, and culminated in a dissertation on Ysaye\u2019s interest in Early Music. Performances include Early Music New York at St, John the Divine, The Clarion Orchestra, concertmaster for Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity, and for Music at St. Ignatius. Guest lecturer on historical violin playing at The Juilliard School for modern players.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>As a musical saw virtuoso he has appeared with the New York Philharmonic,\u00a0 Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, the Tonight Show, New Century Chamber Orchestra, Leaf Peeper concerts, New York Virtuosi, Queens Symphony Orchestra, and the Brooklyn Philharmonic. As a premier virtuoso of the musical saw he has received international acclaim with \u201cSawing to New Heights\u201d, &#8220;Ancient Voices of Children&#8221; by George Crumb on Bridge Records, and for his performances of the \u201cDivination by Mirrors\u201d by Michael Levine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>As a mandolinist he has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Caramoor Festival, New York City Opera, ABT, and with Paula Robison at the Metropolitan Museum and with the Charleston Symphony.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>He has been featured in Strings Magazine, Wuolgang Umak (Korea), Newsday, Sarasate (Japan) and the New York Times. He has created the music for the films \u201cShadows\u201d and \u201cFresh,\u201d featured at the Whitney Museum and the Israeli Museum. Founder of the Long Island Vegetable Orchestra, appearing on \u201cConan\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>He has toured with Heawon Kim, pianist, in recitals in Asia, Europe and South America. He is the violinist of the chamber groups L\u2019Ensemble and the Pierrot Consort. Full adjunct violin professor at LIU 1986-2019.
